Sharon Jones is a reader, writer and teacher from Northern Ireland. She has three young adult children, and lives with her husband in rural County Antrim.

Sharon read Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge University, and afterwards Education, also at Cambridge. Following a doctorate in Literature and Theology at Ulster University, she became Senior Lecturer in Education (with Modern Languages) at Stranmillis University College, Belfast, where she currently teaches Literary Studies.

Sharon has served as Chair of the British Curriculum Forum, and is an inaugural Fellow of the Inklings Project, University of Notre Dame. Her co-edited book, Curriculum in a Changing World, appeared in 2024. Sharon’s writing has featured in Irish Studies Review, Modern and Contemporary France, Journal of Inklings Studies, Journal of the American Medical Association, and The Irish Times.

Sharon is an internationally experienced conference speaker with expertise in literature and education. Her interests include the imagination and creativity, and their relationship with her Christian faith. Sharon enjoys collaborative projects, and has worked with a range of partners including schools and churches, New Irish Arts, Belfast School of Theology, Saphara, and United Adoration.
